Zagely ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users and the contacts of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our unified multi-channel business communication platform.

We operate as both a data controller (for account registration and platform usage data) and a data processor (for contact data and message content you manage through our platform on behalf of your business).

Information We Collect

A Account & Registration Data

When you register, we collect: name, email address, phone number, company name, billing address, and payment information (tokenized by Stripe).

B Usage & Platform Data

We automatically collect: IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited, features used, session duration, and error logs — to improve the Service and for security purposes.

C Contact & Message Data (Tenant Data)

When you import contacts or send messages, we process phone numbers, names, email addresses, custom fields, and message content. This data belongs to you; we process it solely to provide the Service.

D WhatsApp Session Data

We store encrypted WhatsApp session credentials (auth keys) to maintain your connected number sessions. These are encrypted at rest using AES-256 and never shared with third parties.

WhatsApp Data Handling

Zagely uses an unofficial WhatsApp Web bridge to connect your WhatsApp number. This has the following privacy implications:

  • Your WhatsApp session credentials (authentication keys) are stored encrypted on our servers
  • Message content you send/receive through the platform is logged in our database for your records and campaign tracking
  • Contact phone numbers and profile information loaded via WhatsApp are stored for session continuity
  • We do not access your personal WhatsApp chats or contacts outside the sessions you explicitly connect
  • Session data is isolated per tenant and accessible only by your authorized team members

Using WhatsApp via an unofficial bridge carries risks including potential account bans by Meta. You are responsible for complying with WhatsApp Business Policy.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside your state, province, country, or governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as the legal basis for international data transfers.

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection standards than your own.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at privacy@zagely.com. We will delete that information promptly upon verification.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by:

  • Sending an email notification to your registered address
  • Displaying an in-app notification in your dashboard
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after a revised policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updates.
